Chopshop, an amazing band out of Brooklyn, New York. They might be a rookie band but they play a live show as though they have been plaing together for years and their songs are full of great lyrics and emotion in big sounding, guitar filled arrangements. Bringing together elements ranging from rock and power pop to experimental electronica, Chopshop has energy to burn onstage and in the studio.

This 5-piece act mixes trumpet, cello and synth with the traditional rock elements of drums, bass and guitar to bring the sound they hear in their heads to life.  On their first CD, “Hugs and Hand Shakes”, male and female vocals mix with lush arrangements, which cross boundries between different genres. Chopshop’s sound is reminiscent of R.E.M. or even early Radiohead.
